The uniqueness of Jun kiln porcelain lies in the fact that it is an opalescent glaze with a small amount of copper in the glaze, which is fired with a reddish glaze color, like the evening glow in the blue sky. The green color is also different from the general celadon, although the color shades vary, but more close to blue, is a blue opalescent glaze. It is a creation and breakthrough in celadon technology.

The glaze colors of Jun kiln wares are rich, colorful and brilliant. There are rose purple, begonia red, aubergine purple, onion green, sky blue, beige, moon white, kiln change and so on. The Song Dynasty kilns created the use of copper oxides as a coloring agent, in the reduction of the atmosphere of the successful firing of copper-red glaze, for China's ceramic technology, ceramic aesthetics opened up a new realm.

The typical feature of Jun kiln is "earthworm walking mud pattern", which is formed because the glaze of Jun porcelain is thick and viscous, so when cooling, some between the open piece and non-open piece of the glaze to fill in the flat place, it will be formed like a rain after the earthworm crawled in the wetland traces.
